Teen Trends: Spring 2015

Now that spring has finally sprung, I thought it would be appropriate to talk about what I have been loving during the slow transition from cool to warm weather. Here are my spring favorites.
Starting with skin care, I found this amazing face wash that cleans my face really well, removing all of my makeup and making my skin feel clean. This product is called Fab First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser with Fab Antioxidant Booster, and I certainly recommend it. Another product I have been using is the Fab First Aid Beauty Facial Pads, which exfoliate, tone and brighten your skin. I use them every morning and night, and they make my skin feel really fresh. At the end of the day, I use Yes to Cucumbers Eye Makeup Removing Pads, which take off all of my eyeshadow and mascara without me having to rub my eyes too hard, and out of all the eye makeup wipes I have ever used, these are definitely my favorite.
Moving on to makeup and hair, my favorite lipstick right now is from MAC in the shade of Giddy. The application process is really smooth and it lasts a very long time. This month I have found myself wearing braids, updos and wanting my hair to have more of a beachy wave look to it, rather than being straight. I have been adding scrunchies to my ponytails for a pop of color.
For books, I read “The Second Summer of the Sisterhood,” by Ann Brashares, which is the sequel to “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.” I adored both books, as they are very easy to relate to and it is very easy to find a connection to the characters.
Of course, you cannot forget about music. This month, Shawn Mendes released his debut album entitled “Handwritten,” Sabrina Carpenter released her debut album called “Eyes Wide Open,” and Heffron Drive released an unplugged version of their album “Happy Mistakes.” All three albums are amazing and I have been listening to them non-stop all month, along with “Shut Up and Dance” by WALK THE MOON.
I love spring because the weather is perfect, all of the pastel colors are so pretty, and it is a great time to change things up and try new things. I hope this article helped provide some ideas on how to spruce up your spring! Until next time!
